When
Elizabeth Montgomery died, various obituaries had mistakes. It was said
that her age when she died was 57, but she was actually 62. Some
obituaries said that she was single, but the truth was she had been
married to Robert Foxworth since 1993.
Montgomery had battled colon cancer for years, and at one point
seemed to be cancer-free. Unfortunately, it returned in March 1995. By
the time it was diagnosed, it had spread to her liver and medical
intervention was impossible. Not wanting to die in a hospital,
Montgomery chose to return to the Beverly Hills home she shared with
Foxworth. On the morning of May 18, 1995, Montgomery died in her home.
